Beyonce’s Malaysian Concert Postponed Again
Protests from Islamic conservatives have continued, although promoter says postponement was artist’s decision.

Although BeyoncĂ© agreed to tone down her show for her debut performance in Malaysia, the concert has been postponed in the wake of accusations by Islamic conservatives that the show would be “immoral,” according to The Associated Press.

B was scheduled to perform at the Kuala Lumpur stadium on October 25, but Malaysian promoter Marctensia said in a statement, “The show has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly. The postponement is solely (the) decision of the artist and has nothing to with other external reasons.” Another representative declined to comment on whether the show was postponed due to the heavy criticism it was receiving from religious leaders in the country.

My heart breaks because we have failed to speak up on issues that we stand for and have been the silent majority while people who believe in their causes speak up louder than we do. Do we really believe that the hope that is found through Jesus Christ is as powerful a earth shattering truth as we say it is? There is an old saying that “The Squeaky Wheel Gets the Grease” and it is so true. Whoever screams the loudest in any culture seems to be the tipping point and it does not take many. In the name of being relevant and not rocking the boat we have neutered the Lion of Judah and locked him a cage of comfort and five steps to having a more prosperous and victorious life. He was already victorious and the reason that he conquered death is that he spoke out for what He believed in and the religious people of the day killed him. What issues are facing us today that we are keeping silent on? We have the hope of the world and I am afraid we are just content with singing a few songs and obviously we are so malnourished because we only eat spiritually on Sunday that our voices are messed up. If we do not speak up for change the change will end up changing us.

Also I love the unspoken message of Beyonce’s bracelet. The small cross hanging from her wrist. Sorry Beyonce most people cannot see the cross because they are looking at your boobs.
