From “Fake-N-Bake” to “Fair & Lovely” I have seen it all!  I live in Asia and everywhere I go I see advertisements for skin whitening products like “Fair & Lovely”.  When I was in America is was the ‘Fake-n-Bake’ of white girls who wanted to be dark. Being pale white is not something that most American girls think make them attractive. On the other hand most Asian girls would and do pay money to make their beautiful skin white.  Why are we so dissatisfied with our skin color? Why are we so dissatisfied with how God has created us? It all goes back to the garden when Adam and Eve made the choice to not be satisfied with the perfect environment that God created for them.  I have very little hair on my body (was made fun of in gym class for it) my ears are not big but they stick out, I have a very obvious scar down my forehead, and I am as bowlegged as a range riding cowboy but I am do not care.  I am completely satisfied with who I am.  Instead of trying to fight the way I was created I celebrate it.  Are you satisfied with who you are or are you spending precious energy and resources trying to be someone you are not?
