Synergy (from the Greek syn-ergo, συνεργός meaning working together) is the term used to describe a situation where the final outcome of a system is greater than the sum of its parts. The Apostle Paul used the word in his Epistles to illustrate a dynamic conception of human, divine and cosmic cooperation: “I did the planting, Apollos the watering, but God made things grow…We are fellow workers (synergoi) with God; you are God’s cultivation, God’s building.” In religious context, Synergism stems from the 1657 theological doctrine that humans will cooperate with the Divine Grace in regeneration
The term began to be used in the broader, non-theological, sense by 1925.
So all of the above pretty much sums up what I wan to accomplish with this new site. We need to continue to cooperate with The Divine Grace in regeneration. When we enter into true relationship with God and each other magical things begin to happen to the world that surrounds us. When we truly begin to encounter God and allow that encounter to carry over into the way we treat each other we will begin to see transformation take place in our jobs, ministries, and families. Viruses do not show up at the town square and say “Hey everyone come and get me!” No, they spread quietly from person to person infecting someone else every time people get close enough for the virus to multiply. Christianity has always been viral in its makeup and we have turned it into a product to be consumed. So even now the word Christianity is associated in many parts of the world as something you consume to make your life better when in reality the Kingdom of God is something to be caught and spread around. This happens when we invite people close enough to us and allow them to invade our bubble so they will experience the reality of Jesus and not just another religious sales pitch.
When we begin to connect the energy that comes from living a life that is passionate about the Kingdom of God with others who are running the same race “Synergy” happens. When “Synergy” happens we make a bigger difference in the world around us than we could just trying to make things happen on our own.
